Day 131 of 365 . . . prompt word: mine
A couple months ago, my parents moved from my childhood home to a gated community. I went to help them pack up and one of the things they gave me was a pair of my baby shoes. The shoes are mounted onto a small board and turned outwards.
When I was younger my feet were turned in — pigeon-toed one might say. My doctor at the time told them to attach a pair of shoes to a board and put them on when I would lay down for a nap. Those “old school” doctors were a bit unconventional. He said my feet would eventually straighten out using this homemade “brace”. Shocking, I know.
But it worked.
Do you have anything unusual from when you grew up?
